About the Adiyogi Shiva Statue

Adiyogi is a 112-foot bust of Shiva as the "first yogi", standing at the Isha Yoga Centre at the foot of the Velliangiri hills, about 30 km west of Coimbatore. Made of steel and unveiled in 2017, it is recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest bust sculpture in the world, and its calm black face is visible from far across the fields.

The show draws big crowds, especially on weekends and holidays. Photography is allowed at the statue, but not in other parts of the centre, such as the Dhyanalinga meditation space.
