About VOC Park

VOC Park is a public park in central Coimbatore, close to the railway station and Town Hall, and run by the city corporation. It is named after the freedom fighter V. O. Chidambaram Pillai and has long been a favourite for families, with lawns, a children's play area and a toy train.

The small zoo inside the park has closed, and its animals were moved to other zoos in Tamil Nadu, so do not plan a visit around it. The park itself is still a pleasant, easy stop for an evening walk or a break with children, especially combined with snacks and filter coffee around Town Hall.
