About Sarafa Bazaar

Sarafa Bazaar is Indore's old jewellery market, a few minutes' walk from Rajwada. By day its shops sell gold and silver. Once they close, the lane turns into the city's most famous night food market, with stalls frying, stirring and serving until late.

The menu is mostly vegetarian and very Indori: bhutte ka kees, sabudana khichdi, garadu in winter, dahi bada at Joshi Dahi Bada House, and sweets. In late 2025 the city cut the market back to its traditional food stalls, which open after about 9 pm, and tightened its hours, so check how late the stalls stay open before you plan a very late visit.
