Where to Eat in Jim Corbett
Corbett's eating is spread along one road: Ramnagar town, the resort strip at Dhikuli on the Kosi, and Garjia a few kilometres on. Where you eat mostly depends on which gate your safari uses.

Not sure what to order? The Jim Corbett food guide starts from the dishes — what each one is, when to eat it, and which of these kitchens is known for it.
Ramnagar town
Ramnagar is where local people eat, and the cheapest place for a Kumaoni meal. The listed Ramnagar Kumaoni Dhaba is a vegetarian place for a thali with bhatt and aloo ke gutke. The town is also the start point for the Bijrani safari and the Dhikala canter, so it suits a meal before or after either. Around the bus stand and the main market there are sweet shops for bal mithai and tea stalls that open early for drivers and guides.
Dhikuli, on the Kosi
The Dhikuli stretch, north of Ramnagar on the Nainital road, is where most resorts stand, many with their own restaurants. The listed Corbett Machaan Restaurant serves Kumaoni thalis alongside tandoori and multi-cuisine plates. Riverside Café Corbett is a smaller stop for tea, snacks and light meals between safaris. If you are staying at a resort on a meal plan, eating out once is still worth it, if only to try food that is cooked for local tastes.
Near Garjia
Garjia View Restaurant, listed near the temple, serves North Indian and Kumaoni food and is handy after a visit to the shrine. The riverbank below the temple also has small prasad and snack stalls. After heavy rain in the monsoon these can be moved or shut, as the Kosi rises fast here.
Inside the reserve
If you are staying at a forest rest house, meals come from the canteen there. Food is vegetarian and simple, and times are fixed around the safaris. There is no other food inside, and you cannot leave the lodge after dark to find any.
On the Kaladhungi road
The road west to Corbett Falls and the museum has few proper restaurants. Kaladhungi town has small dhabas for tea and a basic meal. Carry water and snacks if you plan to spend the day on that side.
