About the Kirti Stambha
The Kirti Stambha, or Tower of Fame, is a 22-metre stone tower built in the 12th century by a Jain merchant and dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. It is older and slimmer than the better-known Vijay Stambha, and its walls are covered with carved Jain figures.
The tower stands on the eastern side of the fort, next to a Jain temple, away from the busiest part of the hill. Because fewer visitors come this far, it is one of the quietest places in the fort for photos and a good spot to look closely at old stone carving.
