Best time to visit Halebidu

October and November
The rains ease off, the countryside is still green and the air is fresh. A good time for photos, as skies are clearer and crowds are moderate.
December to February
The most comfortable months, with cool mornings, sunny days and very little rain. This is peak season, and weekends and holidays bring more tour groups.
March to May
Days get warmer, and April is usually the hottest month. Sightseeing is still fine early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Pre-monsoon thunderstorms can arrive in May.
June to September
The monsoon brings regular rain, with July usually the wettest month. It is cooler and very green, but the stone platforms can be slippery. Rain rarely stops a visit, since all the sights are close together.
When Is Halebidu Most Crowded?
Halebidu is busiest on weekends, public holidays and from December to January, when tour buses from Bengaluru and Mysuru cover Belur and Halebidu in one day. Late morning and early afternoon are usually the busiest hours.
For a quieter visit, come on a weekday, arrive soon after opening, and see the Kedareshwara Temple and Jain basadis, which stay quiet even at busy times.
