About Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake is the centre of Mount Abu, a small lake surrounded by hills, granite boulders and the town's busiest road. Local legend says it was dug out with fingernails, which is where the name is believed to come from. The best-known rock is Toad Rock, which looks like a toad about to jump into the water and can be reached by a short climb from the lakeside.

During the day, pedal boats and rowing boats go out on the water. In the evening, the road around the lake fills with families, snack stalls and shops, and the lake becomes the main stage for the Summer and Winter Festivals.
