About Hoshang Shah's Tomb

Hoshang Shah's Tomb is the grave of the sultan who moved the capital of Malwa from Dhar to Mandu in the early 15th century. Built of white marble, it is known as India's first marble tomb, with a large central dome, arched doorways and marble lattice screens. Hoshang Shah died in 1435, and the tomb was completed after his death, around 1440, under Mahmud Khilji.
